Investor Distribution Strategy Lead

As the Investor Distribution Strategy Lead, you will help grow the Index business across EMEA by working with investment product issuers to help commercialize ETFs and funds tracking our indexes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our distribution strategy to maximize engagement with issuer partners and the end investors they are targeting to reach (institutional to retail).  You are responsible for analyzing market trends, assessing existing and new distribution channels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that help facilitate the growth of investment products tracking our indexes.

You will also:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with ETF issuer and Asset Manager clients to understand what they are focused on and how we can best support them for growth of existing partnered investment products or new product launches, turning that into strategic guidance to research and marketing for what we focus on and when.
  • Facilitate distribution of index research content to all related issuer clients and manage value feedback loop.
  • Establish and implement strategic initiatives that enhance our reach with prioritized investor audiences (i.e. retail, advisory, and institutional by geography).  Main items being:
    • Retail presence through retail online broker partnerships including establishing and managing associated relationships
    • Intermediary in the markets which may differ by region / country
  • Enable voice of client (i.e. wealth management and retail broker) feedback on new index concepts being scoped that would ultimately serve those audiences
  • Analyze investor distribution ecosystems across regions and provide intelligence to the wider team on the nuances and trends for how investor distribution is working in each respective market
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
  • 10 years of sales experience in the asset management industry, at least 5 years of which with an ETF issuer or index provider
  • Background in distribution
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel for business (once a month)
  • Flexibility to take meetings outside of work hours
